Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan switch to fully electronic permits for international transportation

Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have reached an agreement on a full transition to electronic permit forms in international road freight transport from September 1, 2025.
Report informs with reference to the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA), the corresponding decision was made on February 19 at the regular meeting of the Joint Commission on International Automobile Communications between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan in the format of a video conference.
Within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States, a system of electronic exchange of permit forms E-permit was created. In January, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan carried out the first transportation using electronic permits.
