Azerbaijan to expand cooperation with BSTDB in infrastructure and energy sectors

Azerbaijan will expand cooperation with the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) in the areas of infrastructure, energy, and financial sector development, Finance Minister Sahil Babayev said at the 28th annual meeting of the BSTDB Board of Governors, Report informs.

"Azerbaijan is interested in expanding cooperation with the bank in the areas of infrastructure, renewable energy, transport links, and financial sector development. The bank's special focus on energy security in 2025 aligns with Azerbaijan's strategic priorities," Babayev said.

He noted that Azerbaijan prioritizes strengthening energy security in the region as a reliable supplier and strategic transit hub.

The government is also investing significantly in renewable energy as part of its green transition and climate commitments, he added.
