Azerbaijan releases cargo transport data for 1Q2026

In the first quarter of 2026, 3.407 million tons of cargo were transported by rail, nearly 1.392 million tons by sea, and just over 2.705 million tons by road through Azerbaijan's transport corridors, Report informs, citing the country's State Statistical Committee.
The cargo volume in the East–West transport corridor amounted to 3.8633 million tons, including almost 1.854 million tons in the Europe–Caucasus–Asia corridor. The North–South corridor accounted for just over 2.265 million tons, the North–West corridor for more than 1.265 million tons, and the South–West corridor for 109,900 tons.
Of the cargo transported by rail, 44.3% was transit cargo; by road, 48.8% was transit cargo; and by sea, 89.4% was transit cargo.
