Azerbaijan Railways purchases 7 locomotives from China

The Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) CJSC has purchased seven AC50 locomotives from China.

According to Report, the locomotives, manufactured by CRRC Ziyang Co., Ltd., have already been delivered to Azerbaijan.

Earlier, in June 2026, ADY signed a contract with CRRC Ziyang for the purchase of four new mainline passenger locomotives, which are scheduled to be delivered to Azerbaijan in 2027.
