Azerbaijan Railways passenger traffic rises 17% in January-July

Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) transported more than 6.4 million passengers in January-July, up 17% from the same period a year earlier, according to the company, cited by Report.
Passenger traffic on the Absheron Circular Railway rose 16% to more than 6 million, while intercity services carried about 347,000 passengers, an increase of 18%.
In July alone, ADY transported more than 951,000 passengers, up 15% year-on-year.
Passenger numbers on the Absheron Circular Railway increased 12% to 876,000 in July, while intercity services carried 57,840 passengers, up 24.5% from a year earlier.
