Azerbaijan Railways isn't considering significant reduction of ticket prices for the Baku-Tbilisi-Baku train, Azer Farajov, head of the Azerbaijan Railways Passenger Transportation Department, told journalists, Report informs.
According to him, tickets for this route are already on sale at the lowest fares.
Farajov also commented on the addition of older carriages to the new trains, noting that this does not pose any risks or threats.
"This complies with technical operating regulations. The added carriages will travel at the same speed and maintain the necessary functionality of the train," he said.
Azerbaijan Railways previously announced that, starting July 10, they would increase the capacity of trains on the Baku-Tbilisi-Baku route by almost 60% by adding three sleeping carriages. This will increase the number of seats on each route from 178 to 282, and passengers will have access to more affordable fares.
