Azerbaijan increases car production 2.4-fold in 2019

Azerbaijan produced machinery and equipment, transport facilities, cars, trailers, and semi-trailers worth AZN 315.5 million in 2019.

The State Statistical Committee told Report that machinery and equipment production surged 1%, other transport facilities slipped 17.4% and cars, trailers, and semi-trailers – 17.7%.

Azerbaijan manufactured 905 tractors, down 30.5% from the previous year.

During the reporting period, 2,360 private cars were manufactured, up 2.4-fold from a year earlier.
