The load factor of the first flight operated by Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) to Atyrau, Kazakhstan, reached 87%, AZAL Commercial Director Jamil Manizada said, according to Report.
"With this flight, the airline has further expanded its presence in Kazakhstan, which is one of the priority markets in our international route network. Atyrau is our fifth destination in Kazakhstan, and this is another step toward strengthening transport links between the two countries. Flights operated four times a week expand travel options between Atyrau and Baku, creating more flexible and convenient connections for both business and tourism. The route has already demonstrated strong results from the very first day - the load factor of the first flight reached 87%," he said.
The AZAL representative also emphasized that the new route strengthens the regional and transfer network, enhancing Baku's role as a natural transit hub between Central Asia and Europe, the Middle East and other destinations.
"For passengers traveling from Atyrau, Baku can be both a final destination and a starting point for their next journey. Our expanding international network offers convenient connections to various destinations within just a few hours," he said.
Flights on the Baku-Atyrau-Baku route will operate four times a week - on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
The new route will provide passengers with a convenient and direct connection to Atyrau, one of the major economic centers of western Kazakhstan.
