AZAL highlights aviation decarbonization at Astana business summits

Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) took part in regional business summits held in Astana, Kazakhstan, on September 8-10.

According to Report, citing AZAL, the airline delivered a presentation on "Decarbonizing Aviation in Central Asia: Regulatory Pressures, Double Materiality and Financial Risks" on September 8 as part of the "Towards Net Zero Energy – Central Asia and Caspian Business Summit."

On September 10, at the 13th Refining and Petrochemicals Business Summit for Central Asia and the Caspian region, AZAL moderated a session titled "A New Standard in the Sky: Positioning the Region as a Global SAF Production Hub."

The event also featured AZAL's progress in the ESG field and practical decarbonization solutions being implemented across the aviation ecosystem.

The airline also presented its work to integrate sustainability commitments into its operations.
