Aydin Karimov speaks on specifics of Azerbaijani Shusha city's restoration

Stone from local quarries was used in the restoration of Shusha, and new architectural standards were implemented during the work, Aydin Karimov, Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the Shusha District, said at an event as part of WUF13 in Baku, Report informs.

He noted that finding suitable stone for the city's restoration proved to be a challenging task.

"Experiments were conducted as part of the project. This approach was already evident during the design stage, as new standards were developed with the support of the State Committee for Urban Development and Architecture to improve the appearance of the façades and are already being successfully implemented," Karimov said.

He added that today's buildings in Shusha are aesthetically pleasing, and residents are satisfied with their living conditions.
