Aulestia: Housing construction reducing poverty

There are significant opportunities to advance the multifaceted impact of housing through the Sustainable Development Goals, Diego Aulestia, representative of the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, said at an event during WUF13 in Baku, Report informs.

According to him, investments in housing help reduce poverty.

"We need more data to understand the differences between countries, as well as closer collaboration between ministries, regions, and international organizations. This will allow for resource allocation and a cross-sectoral approach," Aulestia said.
