ASCO ferries record nearly 4% growth in passenger transportation

In the first half of 2026, Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO), one of the companies within AZCON Holding, recorded a 3.41% increase in passenger traffic across its ferry services, Report informs, citing ASCO.
A total of 13,219 passengers were transported during the reporting period. Meanwhile, in the same period last year, the figure stood at 12,783.
The highest monthly passenger volume was recorded in June, with 2,944 travelers utilizing the services – representing a 25.6% surge year-on-year from 2,344 passengers in June 2025.
During the January–June reporting period, operations along the Alat–Kuryk and Kuryk–Alat routes accommodated a total of 8,497 passengers, with 4,658 travelers heading from Alat to Kuryk and 3,839 in the opposite direction.
Additionally, the Alat–Turkmenbashi and Turkmenbashi–Alat routes recorded 4,722 passengers, with 2,692 traveling from Alat to Turkmenbashi and 2,030 from Turkmenbashi to Alat.
