Anar Guliyev: WUF13 in Baku became fully inclusive event

The 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku was fully inclusive in both its design and implementation, with civil society participating broadly and actively, Anar Guliyev, Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Development and Architecture and WUF13 National Coordinator, said at the forum's closing press conference, Report informs.

"We signed a letter of intent with UN-Habitat to develop operational guidelines based on the Baku Standards to support future forum host countries," he said.

Guliyev noted that another important achievement was the national implementation of the ISO 2121 standard, which ensures sustainability in organizing major international events.

"These successes demonstrate our commitment not only to the successful implementation of events but also to long-term institutional impact," he emphasized.
