Anar Guliyev: Number of WUF13 participants exceeds 53,000

More than 53,000 people attended the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, including the online format, Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Development and Architecture, the national coordinator of WUF13, Anar Guliyev, said at the final press conference within the 13th session of the World Urban Forum, Report informs.

"This forum laid the foundation for future cooperation. More than 400 speakers spoke at the event, 60 of whom were from Azerbaijan," he noted.

Guliyev added that WUF13 introduced a number of important innovations, which will impact the further development of the forum and international cooperation, he added.

"An important milestone was the updated ministerial meeting chaired by Azerbaijan, which discussed the implementation of the New Urban Agenda. Of the 111 participating countries, 80 were represented at the ministerial and deputy ministerial level, while the rest were represented at the ambassadorial and senior official level," he said.
