Amina Mohammed: WUF13 in Baku took place at a critically important time

The 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku took place at a critically important moment for the global agenda, stated Amina Mohammed, UN Deputy Secretary-General, at the closing ceremony of WUF13, Report informs.

She noted that during the forum, the Baku platform brought together-both in-person and virtually-over 50,000 participants from 176 countries, all united by a common goal: to design a dignified, sustainable, and interconnected future for urban and rural areas, placing people at the center of all urban development decisions.

"We must make the most of the remaining time until 2030 to significantly accelerate the process of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. This will require financing, investments, and scalable projects capable of building, restoring, and completely rethinking the future of our cities," Amina Mohammed said.
