According to him, modern environmental problems dictate the need to develop water reuse systems, wastewater treatment and rainwater collection: "Conducting scientific research in this area, implementing pilot projects and identifying alternative water potential are important in terms of forming a sustainable water management for future generations."
Gulmammadov added that in recent years, Azerbaijan has taken important steps in the field of water resources management: "By the relevant decree of the President, the Commission on the Efficient Use of Water Resources was established, the National Water Strategy was adopted, and the implementation of new infrastructure projects began. At the same time, the processes of digitalization and the introduction of smart technologies have been accelerated."
