ADSEA announces volume of water reserves planned in Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur

A total of 350 million cubic meters of water reserves are planned to be established in Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur, Ilham Bayramov, Deputy Director of the State Agency for Water Resources of Azerbaijan (ADSEA), said during a panel discussion at the 2nd International Water Management Exhibition and Conference.
According to Report, he noted that project and estimate documentation has already been approved to supply water to 10 cities and 79 settlements in Eastern Zangazur and Karabakh.
"Several reservoirs have been restored, including Khachinchay and Kondalanchay. Construction is underway for the Zabukhchay Reservoir, along with a 51-kilometer main pipeline from Zabukhchay. Work is also ongoing on the Khakarichay and Bargushadchay reservoirs in the region," he said.
Bayramov added that efforts are also being made to establish main water distribution lines from these reservoirs, as well as external water supply systems and wastewater management infrastructure for the rehabilitated cities.
