The Asian Development Bank is working on a project to supply Baku with a water system with minimized losses.

Report informs that Norio Saito, director general of the Asian Development Bank's (ADB) Urban Development and Water Division, said this at a session titled "Climate-Resilient Cities and Communities in the Caspian Region: Securing Climate Finance for Urban Adaptation," held as part of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku.

According to him, ADB has allocated $3.5 billion for Caspian littoral countries, including Azerbaijan:

"The program includes wastewater treatment, the establishment of a water supply system and other areas. There are also other projects currently under development. The expansion of wastewater treatment facilities is also planned."
