Trade turnover up 3% in Baku

From January through June 2021, trade turnover in Baku increased by 3% compared to the same of 2020 and slightly exceeded 11 billion manats ($6.47 billion), Report informs, citing the Baku City Statistics Department.
The cost of food, drinks, and tobacco products sold in the city increased by 5.6% compared to the same period last year and slightly exceeded 5.71 billion manats ($3.36 billion). The money spent on non-food products increased by 0.4% and amounted to over 5.29 billion manats ($3.11 billion).
According to the data, 35.9% of consumer goods were sold at enterprises with the status of a legal entity, 42.5% - in retail facilities owned by individual entrepreneurs, 21.6% - in the food markets of the capital.
