Kalaki, Piyazbashi, Agyurd, and Mistan gold ore deposits located in the Ordubad district of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic are not currently exploited due to less volumes, Reza Vaziri, CEO of Anglo Asian Mining PLC, the AIM-listed gold, copper and silver producer focused in Azerbaijan, told Report.
He said that it was revealed as a result of exploration that one of those deposits does not have sufficient volumes for extraction: "Currently, other deposits are being explored. If the volumes of ore reserves in these fields compensates for the lower fields, then production will begin."
