Nakhchivan's industrial output rises 4.5% in January-August

Industrial output in Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic reached 365.8 million manats ($215.2 million) in January-August 2026, Report informs, citing Nakhchivan's State Statistical Committee.

The figure was 4.5% higher than in the same period last year.

Goods accounted for 324.5 million manats ($190.9 million) of industrial output, while services accounted for 41.3 million manats ($24.3 million).

Mining accounted for 0.2% of industrial production, manufacturing for 83.1%, electricity, gas and steam production, distribution and supply for 15%, and water supply, waste treatment and processing for 1.7%.

Agricultural output in the autonomous republic totaled 286.4 million manats ($168.5 million) in the first eight months of the year, up 4.6% year-on-year.

Crop production accounted for 165.4 million manats ($97.3 million), while livestock production totaled 121 million manats ($71.2 million).

During the reporting period, 4.8 million tons of freight and 32 million passengers were transported in Nakhchivan, up 1.2% and 0.9%, respectively, from a year earlier.

At the same time, the value of information and communication services fell by 62.1% year-on-year to 9.9 million manats ($5.8 million) in January-August. The non-state sector accounted for 36.4% of these services.

Paid services provided to the population totaled 137.5 million manats ($80.9 million), down 7.6% from the same period last year.
