Chevrolet Damas, Labo, Lacetti, Tracker and Malibu to be assembled in Azerbaijan's Hajigabul

As part of the second stage of development of Azermash CP LLC's production line in Hajigabul, the plant has started assembling Chevrolet Damas, Labo, Lacetti, Tracker and Malibu cars, Report informs.

The production was established in September this year on the production base of the Azermash CP plant, which produces Chevrolet Nexia and Cobalt cars.

All products are manufactured in line with global standards set by General Motors (US). The following steps in this direction will be to replenish the Chevrolet model portfolio in Azerbaijan with new promising models, as well as to gradually increase production in the coming years. By the end of 2022, it is planned to reach at least 5,000 cars a year.

Azermash CP, part of the Hajigabul industrial district near Baku, is a joint venture established by STA INSHAAT LLC (Azerbaijan) and AVTOSANOAT INVEST LLC (Uzbekistan).

The project was made possible by the agreements reached between the parties on July 21, 2021. A new level of relations between the fraternal states was announced at the meeting of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the sidelines of the summit of the Turkic Council in Baku in October 2019.
