AzerGold sees 29% growth in revenue from sale of gold and silver

Gold worth AZN 349.5 million topped the list of non-oil exports in 2020, the Chairman of the Board of AzerGold CJSC Zakir Ibrahimov said at a press conference on the results of last year and the tasks ahead.
"It is gratifying that we have a significant role in this success. Last year, the volume of gold and silver exported by the Society to world markets increased. The sale of 59,400 ounces of gold and 119,400 ounces of silver attracted a total of AZN 186,500,000 to the country's economy, a drop of AZN 41.5 million or 29% more than the previous year.
"The company continued to sell its ingots and coins last year, selling 1.275 products worth AZN 1.6 million," he noted.
