Azerbaijan starts exporting urea to Spain

SOCAR Urea Plant, a resident of the Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park, has started exporting urea to Spain and initially sent more than 4,000 tons to the customer.
Report informs, citing the Agency for Development of Economic Zones, that the urea plant is increasing production and expanding its export geography.
So far, the urea plant has sold 293 million manats, of which 86% was exported. The company's products are delivered to Brazil, Romania, Italy, Albania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Russia, and the UAE under the "Made in Azerbaijan" brand.
SOCAR Urea Plant started operating in January 2019. The company plays a vital role in eliminating dependence on nitrogen fertilizer imports and meeting the needs of local farmers.
