Azerbaijan doubles profits from polyethylene exports

According to customs declarations, Azerbaijan exported 90,600 tons of polyethylene in primary forms worth $104.9 million in January-August this year, respectively up 0.95% and 1.8-fold from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.
Over the past eight months, the share of polyethylene was 6.62 percent in non-oil exports and 0.8 percent in the country's total exports.
SOCAR Polymer's project includes plants for the production of polypropylene with an annual capacity of 184,000 tons and high-density polyethylene with a capacity of 120,000 tons per year.
