96 entrepreneurs received resident status in industrial zones of Azerbaijan

In industrial zones managed by the Agency for Development of Economic Zones under the Ministry of Economy, resident status has been granted to 96 entrepreneurs with a total investment portfolio of over 1 billion manats ($588.2 million), First Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev said at a conference dedicated to the Entrepreneur's Day and the Year of Constitution and Sovereignty, Report informs.

According to him, 29 enterprises have started operating in industrial zones from 2021 to 2024. It is expected that registered residents will create more than 10,800 jobs in total.

"In terms of the number of residents, the second place among industrial parks in the country is occupied by the Aghdam Industrial Park, whose products are supplied both to the domestic market and for export," the deputy minister said.

Elnur Aliyev called on entrepreneurs to more actively use the opportunities created in the liberated territories, in particular in the industrial zone "Araz Valley Economic Zone."
