Young Azerbaijani table tennis players win four medals at tournament in Türkiye

Members of Azerbaijan's junior national table tennis team have won four medals at an international tournament in Yalova, Türkiye.

According to the Azerbaijan Table Tennis Federation, cited by Report, athletes from Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Romania, Bulgaria and Estonia also competed in the tournament.

Vagif Babayev and Shakir Gadirov finished second in the team event, while Banu Imanverdizada and Sofia Trofimenko took third place.

In the individual competition, Vagif Babayev and Shakir Gadirov, competing in the U15 category, won bronze medals.

The athletes, coached by Billura Eminova and Zakir Javadov, also took part in an international training camp from August 8 to 14.
