Baku. 18 October. REPORT.AZ/ The world judo championship among juniors has kicked off in the capital of Bahamas, Nassau.
Report informs that the Azerbaijani squad grabbed two medals on the first day of competitions.
In the 55 kg divisions Rovshan Aliyev encountered Balabay Aghayev in the final. Aliyev was crowned the world champion by winning his final bout, while Aghayev claimed bronze.
Notably, 6 male and 3 female athletes represent Azerbaijan in the world championship.
