Russian deputy sports minister to visit all CIS Games host cities in Azerbaijan

Russian Deputy Minister of Sports Alexey Morozov has announced plans to visit all seven Azerbaijani cities hosting the 3rd CIS Games, Report informs.
Speaking to journalists, Morozov shared details of the recent meeting of the Council on Physical Culture and Sports of the CIS member states, held in Ganja.
"Russia is one of the countries with the largest number of athletes and delegates at the Games. Today, we visited Heydar Aliyev Park in Ganja and the Goygol Olympic Sports Complex, where the sambo competitions are taking place. Our goal is to visit all seven cities involved in the Games. Previously, we usually only came to Baku, the sports capital of Azerbaijan," Morozov said.
He emphasized the value of the competition for Russian athletes: "The CIS Games are a great opportunity for our athletes to compete under their own flag and anthem. They are excited to face strong and motivated opponents-this will be a valuable experience for them."
Morozov also noted that he plans to attend the archery competitions in Khankandi: "We will be visiting all local sports venues and teams. It's important for us to explore the full geography of the CIS Games."
Regarding the next edition of the Games, Morozov confirmed discussions are underway for Russia to host the 4th CIS Games: "The issue was discussed yesterday and again today, both formally and informally. At the next meeting, we will officially confirm the host country."
The 3rd CIS Games will conclude on October 8, with 1,624 athletes from 13 countries participating.
