New sport added to program of 2024 Olympic Games

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has published the list of sports represented at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, Report informs, citing Russian media.

Competitions in breakdance will take place for the first time in the history of the Olympic Games. Competitions in athletic alpinism, skateboarding, and surfing, which for the first time took place as part of the Tokyo-2020 Olympic Games, will also be represented in the French capital.

Karate tournaments, which were also held for the first time as part of the Tokyo Games, were removed from the 2024 Olympic Games program.

The 2024 Olympic Games in Paris will take place between July 26 and August 11, 2024.
