Judoka Mohammad Musayev becomes European champion - UPDATED

Another Azerbaijani judoka, Mohammad Musayev, has won the gold medal at the European Youth Judo Championships in Podgorica.

According to Report, the athlete competing in the 66 kg weight category defeated Serbia's Marko Jorgic by ippon in the decisive bout.

Azerbaijan is represented at the continental championships by 14 judokas (nine men and five women) across 10 weight categories. Earlier, another Azerbaijani athlete, Ayhan Mirzazade (60 kg), won a gold medal. Khadija Gadashova (57 kg) will compete for the bronze medal.

Azerbaijani judoka Aykhan Mirzazada has won the gold medal at the European Youth Judo Championships in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro.

According to Report, in the 60 kg weight category, the athlete defeated French opponent Lucien Tixier in the final to claim first place on the podium.

Azerbaijan is represented by 14 judokas in 10 weight categories at the continental championships.

Today, Mahammad Musayev (66 kg) will compete for gold, while Khadija Gadashova (57 kg) will fight for bronze.
