International meeting on anti-doping in sport completes in Baku

A third official meeting of the Approval Committee of the Fund for the Elimination of Doping in Sport was held in Baku under the framework of UNESCO's International Convention against Doping in Sport.

According to Report, ministers and deputy ministers of sport from various countries arrived in Baku to take part in the event.

On the first day of the meeting, speeches were delivered by UNESCO Executive Secretary of the Convention and Director for Social Policy and Inclusion in the Science Sector Gustavo Merino, Approval Committee Chair Luke McCann, and COP10 Bureau Chair and Azerbaijan's Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov.

Within the framework of the meeting, Farid Gayibov also held an online discussion with representatives of the COP10 Bureau's II Regional Group (Central and Eastern Europe), which he represents. The participants discussed the Bureau's activities, proposals to be presented at the meeting, and upcoming issues, and exchanged views.
