Five Azerbaijani wrestlers begin competition at U17 World Championships

At the U17 Wrestling World Championships in Baku, five more Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestlers are set to compete today in the qualification round.

According to Report, the following matchups are:

Qualification Round

- 45 kg: Ali Javadli vs. Ognyan Burgazov (Bulgaria);

- 51 kg: Abdurrahman Huseynli vs. Kuanyshbek Zhangazhol (Kazakhstan);

- 60 kg: Elmir Charkazov vs. Nurali Askar (Kazakhstan);

- 71 kg: Nadir Hasanov vs. Mahdi Azizboev (Tajikistan);

- 92 kg: Zohrab Safarov vs. Hlib Yevsieiev (Ukraine).

The U17 Wrestling World Championships are underway at the National Gymnastics Arena, bringing together nearly 700 young wrestlers from over 60 countries. Azerbaijan is being represented by a total of 29 athletes at the tournament.
