Farman Hasanov: I planned to finish the fight early

Azerbaijani welterweight MMA fighter Farman Hasanov said he had hoped to secure an early finish in his bout at UFC Fight Night Baku.

According to Report, Hasanov commented on his victory over American fighter Eric Nolan in the final preliminary bout of the event.

"I thank the entire Azerbaijani people. I was focused only on winning and wanted to finish the fight early. A week before the tournament I got a little sick and had some issues. Because of several factors, I couldn't do that, but I won all three rounds," Hasanov said.

He added that Nolan was well prepared for the contest.

"My opponent was also well prepared. I landed a lot of takedowns and dominated the fight. I'll work on my mistakes and try to perform even better," he said.

Hasanov defeated Nolan by unanimous decision after three rounds.
