European Wrestling Olympic Qualifying Tournament: Maria Stadnik reaches semi-finals

Azerbaijan's female wrestler Maria Stadnik made a successful start in the 2024 European Wrestling Olympic Qualification Tournament in Baku, Report informs.

In the 50 kg event the athlete easily passed the 1/4 final stage.

The 10-time European and two-time world champion won a 10-0 victory over Lithuania's Gabija Dilyte thereby making her way to the semi-finals.

Earlier Elnura Mammadova (53 kg), Birgul Soltanova (62 kg) and Elis Manolova (68 kg) lost in the qualification stage and dropped out of the competition.
