Baku to host 2026 U17 World Wrestling Championship

Baku will host 2026 U17 World Wrestling Championships.
Report informs that the decision was made at the meeting of the United World Wrestling (UWW) Executive Committee.
Baku was chosen to host the tournament over other candidate cities - Sofia (Bulgaria), Alexandria (Egypt), Amman (Jordan), and Brasov (Romania).
The world's strongest young wrestlers will compete at the National Gymnastics Arena from July 27 to August 2, 2026.
Baku also hosted the same tournament in 2012.
