Azerbaijani wrestler's opponents at U17 Wrestling World Championships determined

The draw has determined the opening opponents for Azerbaijan's freestyle wrestlers at the U17 Wrestling World Championships in Baku.

According to Report, freestyle wrestling competition will take place over the final three days of the tournament at the National Gymnastics Arena.

Following the draw held on Thursday, Azerbaijan's wrestlers learned their first opponents:

45 kg (Round of 16)

Tunar Hasanov vs. Radoslav Velikov (Bulgaria) or Ariun Erdenetugs (Mongolia)

48 kg (Round of 16)

Huseyn Rzazadea vs. Amirali Faz (Iran) or Aaryan Aaryan (India)

51 kg (Round of 16)

Ibrahim Hasanov vs. Gaurav Bahi (Canada) or Giorgi Narimanidze (Georgia)

55 kg (Qualification round)

Abbas Shafiyev vs. Temirlan Murat (Kazakhstan)

60 kg (Round of 16)

Eljan Hasanov vs. Balazs Hideg (Hungary) or Witold Pawlik (Poland)

65 kg (Qualification round)

Rashid Nazarov vs. Erik Papikyan (Armenia)

71 kg (Qualification round)

Wrestlers competing in the 48 kg, 55 kg, 65 kg, 80 kg and 110 kg weight classes will take to the mat on Friday, while the remaining five weight categories will begin competition on August 1.
