Azerbaijani shooter claiming silver medal: 'I did not expect such an ending'

Azerbaijani shooter Zeynab Sultanova spoke about her team winning a silver medal in the 25-meter standard pistol competition of the World Championship held in Baku, Report informs.

"I did not expect such an ending - a medal," she said.

The athlete who finished 8th in the individual score and second in the team score in the prestigious tournament attended by the world's strongest spoke optimistically about the future:

"This is my first medal in international competitions. It's nice that the ending is like that. I have been practicing shooting for 3-4 years. I still don't have enough experience to qualify for the Olympics. Now I got the second place. Hopefully, as time goes by, I will climb up the steps and get there."
