Azerbaijani Paralympic swimmer crowned world champion in Singapore

Azerbaijan"s three-time Paralympic champion Raman Salei (S12 category) has won gold at the Para Swimming World Championships, currently taking place in Singapore.
The National Paralympic Committee's press service informed Report that on the first day of competition, Salei claimed the gold medal in the 100-meter backstroke, finishing with a time of 1:01.58.
This marks Salei"s fourth world championship title. He is also set to compete in the 100m and 50m freestyle, as well as the 100m butterfly events.
The championships in Singapore will run through September 27.
