Azerbaijani karateka wins silver medal at int’l tournament in Türkiye

Azerbaijani karateka Rafig Huseynli (70 kg) has won a silver medal at an international tournament, Report informs.
Huseynli distinguished himself at the VI Gemlik International Karate Tournament held in the Gemlik district of Bursa Province, Türkiye.
Nearly 2,000 karatekas from 8 countries participated in the competition.
Huseynli, a member of the Gapijiq Karate-do Sports Club operating in Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan, successfully competed in the kumite competitions of the tournament and was among the prize winners. He was awarded the silver medal in the 14-15 age category.
Rafig Huseynli is a winner and medalist of the world shotokan championships, as well as international tournaments and national competitions.
