Azerbaijani judoka wins bronze medal at World Championship

Azerbaijani youth judoka Anar Guliyev (50 kg) has secured a bronze medal at the World Championship held in Sofia, Bulgaria, Report informs.
Guliyev earned his place on the podium by defeating Bulgarian athlete Svetelin Martinov in the third-place match.
Meanwhile, Mahammadali Husiyev (55 kg) is set to compete for a bronze medal later today.
In the women"s 44 kg category, Khadija Abdullayeva and Gulshan Huseynova were eliminated after losses in both the quarter-finals and the repechage round.
Also, Rza Khalilli (50 kg) and Rasul Alizade (55 kg) were defeated in the round of 16.
The individual events at the World Championship will conclude on August 30, followed by the mixed team competition on August 31.
