Azerbaijani gymnasts win three gold medals at World Cup and AGF Trophy

Azerbaijani athletes won three gold medals at the FIG Acrobatic and Aerobic Gymnastics World Cup and AGF Trophy competitions held at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku.
According to the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation, cited by Report, around 220 athletes from 14 countries took part in the three-day acrobatic and aerobic gymnastics World Cup events, while more than 150 athletes from 10 countries competed in the accompanying international tournament.
The Azerbaijani national team finished the World Cup with one gold medal. The women's group consisting of Anahita Bashiri, Zahra Rashidova, and Nazrin Zeyniyeva outperformed their rivals and claimed gold with a score of 29.300 points.
As is customary, the AGF Trophy was awarded to the athletes who achieved the highest score in the qualification round.
At the international tournament, Azerbaijani gymnasts competed in a total of six acrobatic and aerobic gymnastics disciplines.
In the junior competition, Madina Ibrahimli and Toghrul Gulmaliyev won the gold medal in the mixed pairs event, finishing on top of the podium. Sama Hajiyeva and Arif Mammadzada, who also competed in the mixed pairs category, earned silver medals. In the individual event, Arif Mammadzada won gold, while Toghrul Gulmaliyev took silver.
