Azerbaijan teams claim more wins at World Chess Olympiad

Azerbaijan's national teams have claimed further victories at the 46th World Chess Olympiad in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.

According to Report, in the second round Azerbaijan's men's team defeated the Philippines 3-1. Shahriyar Mammadyarov and Mahammad Muradli won their games, while Aydin Suleymanli and Eltaj Safarli drew.

Azerbaijan's women's team recorded a 4-0 victory over Denmark. Ulviyya Fataliyeva, Gunay Mammadzada, Khanim Balajayeva and Gulnar Mammadova all won their games.

In the first round, Azerbaijan's men's team defeated Morocco 4-0, while the women's team beat Guatemala by the same score.

The World Chess Olympiad is being played over 11 rounds under the Swiss system and will conclude on September 27.
