During the ongoing trial at the Baku Military Court on May 12, Elshad Alishov, a victim of the destruction of the population of Bashlibel village in Kalbajar district by the Armenian armed forces, gave testimony, Report informs.
Alishov said that after Kalbajar was occupied, they were forced to leave Bashlibel, and at that time, they tried to leave the district from the tunnel direction by car together with his mother, sister, little brother, cousins, and uncle's daughter-in-law.
"Armenians had surrounded the tunnel. When we were passing through, they opened fire on our car. As a result, my mother was wounded in the leg. I carried my mother on my back for about 300 meters, but I couldn't get my brother and others out. The bullet entered my sister's mouth and exited from the other side. There has been no news from them until now," Alishov added.
The victim, who stated that they set out on the road together with their neighbor Yusif, also brought attention to the fact that their car was hit. He then said: "Yusif was wounded 50-60 meters away from the car. His brother was dead, and his wife and niece were wounded."
The trial continues for Armenian citizens accused of crimes against peace and humanity, including war crimes, acts of terrorism, the preparation and execution of aggressive war, genocide, violations of war laws and rules, forcible seizure and retention of power, as well as financing terrorism, among other offenses stemming from Armenia's military aggression.
