Trial underway in Baku over war crimes

A court session is underway at the Baku Judicial Complex in a criminal case involving individuals of Armenian origin accused of committing war crimes.
According to Report, the proceedings are being presided over by Judge Zeynal Aghayev of the Baku Military Court.
At the previous session, testimonies from the victims were heard.
The defendants are accused of crimes against peace and humanity, war crimes-including waging aggressive war, genocide, forced population displacement, persecution, torture, military looting-and other illegal acts against Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani people, carried out by the Armenian state and its armed forces, including the so-called "Nagorno-Karabakh Republic" established by Armenia in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, and its illegal armed formations.
