Trial underway in Baku for ethnic Armenian suspects accused of war crimes

A court hearing is being held in Baku for ethnic Armenian individuals accused of committing war crimes.
According to Report, the trial, presided over by Judge Zeynal Aghayev of the Baku Military Court, is taking place at the Baku Court Complex.
In the previous session, victims testified in court.
The defendants are accused of crimes against peace and humanity, including war crimes committed by the state of Armenia and its armed forces, as well as by the self-proclaimed "Nagorno-Karabakh Republic" and its illegal armed groups on the formerly occupied Azerbaijani territories.
Charges include waging an aggressive war, genocide, forced displacement, persecution, torture, military looting, and other unlawful acts against the people of Azerbaijan.
