Explosion occurs in smelter in Baku

On February 5, the 112 hotlines of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) received information about an explosion in a smelter in the Binagadi district of Baku.

Ministry's State Fire Protection Service immediately dispatched to the area. Two 50-liter propane gas cylinders caught fire, and the walls of the pumping station collapsed due to the blast.

The fire was put out and prevented from spreading to a large area.
