Detained an Israeli citizen smuggling gold from Azerbaijan

Baku. 9 December. REPORT.AZ/ According to information on jewelry smuggling, Department for Fight against Customs Offenses of the State Customs Committee (SCC) Main Customs Department on Air Transport, an Israeli citizen was detained while boarding Baku-Tel Aviv flight. The personal inspection conducted.

During the inspection, a bracelet, an equipage of ring and earring and 6 pairs of earrings were revealed in 4 small plastic packages, hidden in his chest.
According to a certificate of the Forensic Examination Center of the Justice Ministry, the revealed jewellery is factory and handmade of 583, 585 and 750 hallmarks with total weight of 81,33 grams.
Investigation is underway.
