Death toll in Salyan road accident rises to four

The death toll from a serious car accident in Azerbaijan's Salyan district has risen to four, according to Report's Aran bureau.

Resident Vugar Asadov, from Shorsulu village, who had been hospitalized with injuries, died despite doctors' efforts.

The accident occurred in the Stansiya residential area, where a Toyota Prado collided with a VAZ-2106. Initially, two people were reported dead and four injured. Later updates confirmed that one of the injured succumbed to injuries, raising the toll to three, and finally to four after Asadov's death.

Those who lost their lives have been identified as Elnur Ahmadov, Ilkin Gasimov, and Nizami Gasimov, all residents of Shorsulu village.

The injured included Elifagha Humbatov, Namus Dadashzada, and Vugar Asadov.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
