Customs service prevents currency smuggle from Azerbaijan to Georgia

Customs officers prevented a large amount of undeclared foreign currency from entering the country at the "Red Bridge" customs checkpoint on the border with Azerbaijan in Georgia, Report informs, citing the Georgian Ministry of Finance.
Customs officers found 16,500,000 Russian rubles (760,996.5 GEL) in a specially installed hideout of a truck belonging to a Georgian citizen entering Azerbaijan.
The money was confiscated under local law.
